Smart Home companies August and Ring look set to introduce new products this year. Today we’ve got a look at August’s upcoming View doorbell cam that has a sharp aesthetic, while Ring is poised to launch its first lineup of security lights. After August previously filing for trademark rights for View last year, Dave Zatz discovered an image of the upcoming smart doorbell today. In a nice change from the blocky square design that August currently uses with its current Doorbell Cam Pro, the View takes a more minimal, rectangular form factor....

The Bill in question, if passed, would enable national intelligence agencies to undertake activities to produce intelligence where there is, or is likely to be, an imminent risk to the safety of an Australian person, such as from terrorist attacks or kidnappings. Avatar: The Last Airbender was a cultural phenomenon that is widely regarded as one of the best television shows ever, despite being an animated children’s program. Even though the show aired on Nickelodeon for a three-season run, you’d be hard-pressed to find anybody from the ages of 8 to 80 that doesn’t consider this series a masterpiece. The CW is adding a Superman and Lois spin-off series to its Arrowverse line-up for next season. This marks a new venture for the two DC icons, as the previous live-action Superman media hasn’t explored Clark and Lois dealing with parenthood. While their child is set to debut in Crisis on Infinite Earths, casting breakdowns is indicating a coming aging-up twist for the spin-off....

The Assassin’s Creed games can be considered an alternative version of Grand Theft Auto for players who love pieces of history and to play as righteous characters in the quest for good. The series replaced Prince of Persia as Ubisoft’s go-to franchise and has sold over 100 million units worldwide. Its popularity has been possible due to the quality gameplay it has offered when the series has been at its best....

Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook just revealed during Apple’s Q1 2013 earnings call that the company sold more than 2 million Apple TVs for the quarter. Piper Jaffray’s Apple analyst, Gene Munster, asked the executive to further discuss the product’s “hobby” tagline. Cook did not want to talk about Munster’s persistent reports of a full-fledged Apple HDTV, but he noted the Apple TV remains “an intense area of interest.” “I tend to believe that there is a lot we can contribute in this space, and we continue to pull the string and see where it leads us,” he added....

The new register comes in response to an uptick of election conspiracy theories circulating online in recent months due to it being a federal election year. According to the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC), the disinformation register is a regularly updated database containing examples of disinformation and misinformation that has circulated online from late 2021 onwards. The AEC explained that each piece of disinformation discovered by the commission would be presented in the register with information about which platform it was spread on, the timing, the factual information regarding the matter, and the actions taken by the commission to correct the record....

Korra continued the legacy of the Avatar left by Aang, expanding the beloved universe started by Avatar: The Last Airbender. As the Avatar, Korra was almost nothing like Aang. The aggressive, confident Avatar could not have been more different from the reluctant pacifist that Aang was for most of his journey. Korra gets a lot of criticism from fans for being different from Aang, but her differences also allowed her to accomplish feats that Aang could not....

Sylvester Stallone is reportedly a no-go for The Expendables 4 and it sounds like his buddy, Arnold Schwarzegger, is taking a pass too. It wasn’t until the 2010 old school action-movie revival/homage The Expendables that ’80s icons Stallone and Schwarzengger finally shared the screen, though at the time Arnold was still governor of California and could only muster a brief cameo. Freed from the responsibilities of political office, Schwarzenegger was available for a larger role alongside Stallone in Expendables 2, and then came back for Expendables 3....

Those wanting to know if Green Arrow and the Canaries will be picked up shall find out sometime in May. Arrow, the frontrunner of the massive Arrowverse, concluded in January. Its final episode served as an epilogue to Oliver Queen’s story, while also serving as a sendoff to his allies. Arrow has featured a number of characters throughout its eight-season run. One of the most prominent in its last two seasons was Mia Smoak, the daughter of Oliver and Felicity....

The CW releases a brand new trailer for this year’s Arrowverse crossover titled “Elseworlds.” Bringing together Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl as DC’s Legends of Tomorrow sits this year out altogether, the upcoming special will also mark the on-screen debut of the newest superhero to join the network in Ruby Rose as Kate Kane aka. Batwoman before she potentially stars in her own solo show. Told in three parts divided among the series, the overarching narrative has a lot going in it....

. According to Localytics, AT&T continues to be the dominant iPhone carrier in the US, even with the Verizon entering the market strongly last year, grabbing 40% of the users in half the time. Audiobook company Audible is today launching a new ‘all you can eat’ subscription to romance novels. Along with this new offering is a ‘jump to the good parts’ feature that was built with machine learning, which may come to other genres in the future. A standard Audible subscription offers inclusive access to only one book per month, while Audible Romance allows you to listen to as many books as you like in the romantic novel category with the Audible iOS app....

Apple unveiled that the Breathe app on Apple Watch is shifting to Mindfulness in watchOS 8 with a new “Reflect” option joining “Breathe.” And that might not be all. Fitness+ Audio Meditations could be joining in the Mindfulness app too as Apple accidentally leaked the feature in its WWDC Platforms State of the Union video. Apple didn’t share anything about Audio Meditations coming to Fitness+ and the Mindfulness app in its WWDC keynote....
