DC Comics’ Wild Dog first introduced the title character in September 1987 over a four issue mini-series created by Max Allan Collins (Road to Perdition), Dick Giordano (Green Lantern) and Terry Beatty (The Batman Strikes!). Wild Dog was notably one of the first new DC superheroes created after Crisis on Infinite Earths. The Wild Dog character has since gone on to appear on Arrow season 5 on The CW, where “Wild Dog” is the alias of Rene Ramirez: a former Navy sailor who takes to Arrow’s crime-fighting efforts on the TV series....

The Arrow spin-off Green Arrow and the Canaries answered the mystery in its backdoor pilot of the Black Canaries involvement in 2040. As the Stephen Amell-led drama is about to get its send-off, the series set the stage for its final spin-off that will continue the legacy through Mia Queen (Kat McNamara). Prior to season 8 premiering, The CW announced the plans for a female team-up series that would reunite Mia with the two Black Canaries....

As the legal saga between the two continues, Qualcomm is firing back after a host of tech companies came out in support of Apple last week. The chip maker is accusing the Computer & Communications Industry Association, a group that consists of companies such as Google, Samsung, and Facebook, of waging a “coordinated effort aimed at misdirecting” government regulators. John Wick co-director David Leitch returns this summer with a new R-Rated action/thriller, in the form of Atomic Blonde. Kicked off in 2016, The Flux Party set off with a claim to transform democracy in Australia, and would do so by having no policies. In the place of what politics is all about, other than power, Flux intended to use a blockchain-based smartphone app so that its membership would be able to vote on how its potential parliamentarians would vote. “Our only policy is parliamentary reform essentially,” founder Max Kaye told ZDNet in 2016....

But The CW’s Arrow has become something of an enigma of late, as the show’s early dedication to grounded (if theatrical) street crime soon gave way to superpowers and ancient mysticism. Despite comments from the star reinforcing the idea that Arrow is best when it leaves comic book fantasy to its CW colleagues, the grounded, visceral violence and moral dilemmas of the early season have continued to fade in place of more ‘comic book’ action (for lack of a better term)....

A new trailer for the upcoming Arrowverse crossover Elseworlds suggests that the Joker might be putting in an appearance as part of the event. The highly anticipated Elseworlds crossover, which will act as a midseason finale for Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl, has already been teased as featuring classic comic book characters making their first appearances in the Arrowverse, including Elseworlds’ Lois Lane and Batwoman. Now it seems the Clown Prince of Crime might be joining in the fun as well, if only in a brief cameo....

The CW’s Arrowverse is suffering something akin to a midlife crisis. While the shows are all relatively healthy ratings wise, most of them suffered setbacks in their most recent seasons. The Flash, once the most exciting, optimistic superhero show on television, has descended into boring angst. Supergirl endured something of a sophomore slump as it lost sight of what attracted people to the show in the first place. Arrow, five years in, is simply showing its age....

Reports emerged over the weekend about AT&T forcing its employees into a Sept. 21 to Sept. 30 “Vacation Blackout”. “Not true!” we’ve heard. We reached out to AT&T to see what it had to say regarding the above. An AT&T spokesperson told us this morning that there is no company-wide vacation blackout for the end of September. The data strategy, a first for Australia, will focus on initiatives based around maximising the value of data, trust and protection, and enabling data use. The strategy sits alongside an action plan that sets out those initiatives and their expected delivery timeframes up to 2025. At the end of 2025, the federal government will then update the data strategy to implement new initiatives up to 2030, said Stuart Robert, the Minister responsible for digital transformation....

Apple has today started a replacement program for the iPhone XS Smart Battery Case and the iPhone XR Smart Battery Case. Apple says that units sold from January 2019 through October 2019 may experience charging issues due to a fault. Affected units may exhibit issues like intermittent charging when plugged into power or the case simply not charging the iPhone at all.
