As Apple’s SVP of Marketing Phil Schiller introduced WiFi Calling support coming with the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and other iPhones with iOS 8 on supported networks earlier this week, it was noted that only T-Mobile and EE will provide support for the new feature at launch. WiFi Calling will allow users to take advantage of home or office WiFi connections, for instance, to improve call quality in otherwise potentially low network zones....

The report sent Arista shares up 8% in late trading. Despite the upbeat report and forecast, CEO Jayshree Ullal told analysts during the company’s conference call Monday evening that disruption of the global supply chain that is affecting its sales of network switches will continue into 2023. “And so despite the supply chain obstacles that we now expect to continue into 2023, we have emerged stronger,” Ullal told analysts. Some progress with suppliers in November yielded to further supply disruption as the Omicron variant of COVID-19 emerged, she said....

While Apple Arcade was launched primarily as a platform for new and exclusive games, Apple earlier this year decided to bring classic titles to its subscription gaming service. Later this week, the popular racing game “Asphalt 8: Airborne” will arrive on Apple Arcade, this time without any in-app purchases. The Asphalt franchise is older than the iPhone App Store and originated as a Nintendo DS game in 2004. 17 years later, Asphalt has gained new versions and been expanded to more platforms, including iOS, Windows, and even macOS....

. As we reported last week, AT&T today launched its new pre-paid wireless MVNO called Aio Wireless with the iPhone 5 on offer, front and center. Currently, the service is only available in Houston, Orlando and Tampa but it is expected to roll out nationally over the coming months. The company will offer 4 plans: Aio Basic, Smart and Pro phone plans at $35-40 for 250MB, $55 for 2GB and $70/month for 7GB data respectively....

The past several months have been a tumultuous time for the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC’s) plans to let commercial entities operate 5G services on the C-band spectrum in the US. Despite the regulator’s initial claims that such services could operate safely, the FAA, several airlines, aircraft manufacturers, and even air travel worker unions staunchly oppose C-Band rollout. A new photo from this year’s Arrowverse crossover event, Elseworlds, confirms John Wesley Shipp’s return as well as him wearing his Flash suit from the 1990 TV show, The Flash. Ever since it was announced that Shipp would be starring in The CW’s version of The Flash in 2014, comic book fans had hoped that he would ultimately play a speedster, thus providing some sort of nostalgia for fans of the original TV series....

The Arrowverse has been a massive hit for the CW. Who would have thought that when “Gossip Girl with bows and arrows” began airing in 2012, it would expand into an empire? In addition to the OG, Arrow, the massive multi-verse of shows has grown to include the likes of Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow. As of this writing, between the four main shows, 309 total episodes within the Arrowverse have aired on TV....

The details of the Assassin’s Creed games are so good that they could help the city of Paris rebuild the Notre Dame. The historic and famed cathedral made headlines earlier this week when its roof caught fire, resulting in part of the church’s destruction. Although its arts and artifacts made it out of the fire relatively unscathed and much of the interior remains intact, the cathedral will still require extensive renovations to bring it back to its previous glory....

Asus isn’t making any effort to hide about Galaxy Note’s inspiration, be it with the naming or features. When the news broke that Star Wars: Episode VIII was being delayed until Christmas 2017, many fans were concerned. Not only did it mean a few months longer to wait to find out what happens next, but it would also put the movie up against Avatar 2 at the box office. It turns out there wasn’t a need to worry, though; 20th Century Fox has confirmed to The Wrap that Avatar 2 won’t be coming out around Christmas 2017, despite comments that were made last month by director James Cameron....
