Avatar 2 writer-director James Cameron says in a CineEurope presentation that the early results of his Avatar sequels are “beyond even our expectations.” First up, of course, is Avatar 2, one of four planned sequels to the 2009 blockbuster Avatar. The first movie went on to become the all-time highest grossing film release worldwide with $2.78 billion in ticket sales. Plus, it earned nine Oscar nominations - including Best Picture and Best Director - and won statuettes for Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction and Best Visual Effects....

Before spinning off into their own time-travel adventure series, many of the main characters on Legends of Tomorrow appeared in Arrow and The Flash, their fellow DC Comics shows in The CW universe. Arrow season 7, episode 17, “Inheritance”, told the tale of two daughters - Black Siren and Emiko Queen - who both turned to crime while desperately seeking their father’s approval. Ironically, the story pit these two characters against each other, despite their having so much in common. The lion’s share of “Inheritance” was devoted to Emiko Queen, whom Black Siren suspected had a much darker past than she let on before she became the new Green Arrow....

The slate was clear for the minds behind the Assassin’s Creed movie, being given fee rein (unlike most video game adaptations) to tell a new story in the world of Abstergo, and not adapt an existing game or character. Always the perfectionist, Cameron is taking his time developing the projects, as he plans to film four installments in one massive undertaking. For years Arrow has been leading the charge when it comes to DCTV. It was the show that started a whole multiverse on The CW. Now the live-action world of DCTV is about to get just that much bigger with a Titans series on DC’s yet-to-debut streaming platform. Yet while it would seem natural for the Arrowverse and Titans to crossover, there are no plans. Arrow (and its spinoffs) have hinted at the existence of some of the heroes that will be in Titans....

Brandon Routh is set to return to the role of Superman in this year’s Arrowverse crossover, but that means there’ll be two actors playing the Man of Steel - so how will that work? Far Cry 5 was one of Screen Rant’s favorite games of 2018 and a followup of sorts is releasing less than a year later in the standalone first-person shooter sequel Far Cry: New Dawn. Just prior to the game’s official unveiling at The Game Awards in December we visited Ubisoft Montreal to demo the game and to chat with some of the leads behind it. We learned about how early in the process Far Cry: New Dawn came to be and how the main - and most extreme - ending of Far Cry 5’s story allowed Ubisoft to explore another setting they’ve always wanted to play with in the Far Cry sandbox, while adding RPG elements to the gameplay....

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – the latest installment in Ubisoft’s wildly popular video game franchise – has finally landed on shelves. Set in Ancient Greece, Odyssey gives players the opportunity to assume the role of a mercenary from either Athens or Sparta, and to take part in a mythology-infused recreation of the Peloponnesian War. The game features an even greater emphasis on the RPG elements first introduced in its predecessor, Assassin’s Creed Origins, and boasts multiple endings that are triggered by the player’s actions....

It appears that various rumors regarding the upcoming Assassin’s Creed installment have been confirmed ahead of the game’s official reveal next week. The long-awaited next chapter in the Assassin’s Creed franchise has been in development for quite some time, due to the decision by Ubisoft to move away from an annual release strategy. From the time that the second Assassin’s Creed game hit the market in 2009, the studio had been releasing at least one main installment per year, for six years....

Taiwanese manufacturer Asus has silently listed a brand new smartphone Asus Zenfone V on its US website. Even though the phone is still unannounced, the website listing has shown quite a few details regarding the phone, including the simple fact that Zenfone V V520KL will be exclusive to Verizon in the USA. The carrier has already published the service pages to your phone on its website. It will be the next Asus smartphone be available as a part of Verizon’s latest portfolio....

Yes, the iPhone already has some pretty good video and VoIP applications – in fact the only thing holding them back from being better is…um AT&T… AT&T currently only allows VoIP applications to work on WiFi. Video on Youtube is compressed over AT&T’s network. But by the end of the year, all of this will change: At an event on Monday to showcase some recently developed technologies that are not yet being marketed, AT&T emphasized that in the future, consumers should be able to use their phones, computer and television in more interesting ways....

While we haven’t received first weekend sales numbers from Apple yet, AT&T has just released a statement on iPad activations noting that it witnessed a 200% increase in iPad activations compared with last year’s launch: Apple hasn’t announced official numbers for its new iPad Air. It could perhaps be waiting for the iPad mini with Retina display to go on sale for that, as last year the company announced combined first weekend sales of three million units for the iPad mini and fourth generation iPad....

Back in January, AT&T decided to open up Apple’s FaceTime video chat service over its cellular network to all users on its new tiered plans. Unfortunately, that left those still on grandfathered unlimited data plans out in the cold. CW’s Arrow has done a lot for the DC Comics fandom. It not only brought forth some of our most beloved characters in the comic book universe, but has even coined their own characters. Now on its seventh season, the show continues to introduce new characters, while continuing to build on the old, and with such a roster built up, there are a few that stand out just a bit more when it comes the fighting department....

Arrow star Manu Bennett is teasing his return to the CW superhero series as Oliver Queen’s deadliest enemy, Slade Wilson, AKA Deathstroke, with an ominous looking image via his personal Instagram. Arrow is coming off its creatively revitalized fifth season, which saw Oliver and his ever expanding team of vigilante heroes take on Prometheus, the most calculating and sadistic big bad the show has seen. Revealed to be Star City District Attorney Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra), Prometheus forced Oliver to take on unlikely allies, including Slade Wilson, who had largely been absent from the show since its series-defining second season....

AT&T is increasing the prices on some of its legacy plans for the first time in years. According to a new report from Bloomberg, the pricing for single-line individual plans will increase by $6 per month, while the prices for family plans will increase to $12 per month. The price increases, however, apply only to older plans, not the carrier’s newest Unlimited plans.
