The latest trailer for season 6 of Arrow introduces the series’ many antagonists and shows how Oliver is coping with his roles as mayor and father. Oliver Queen has always worn a variety of masks on Arrow. Like Batman, he’s had to balance his public persona, his private one, and his vigilante side. But Oliver has had to deal with a number of other roles too, from team leader to castaway to mob enforcer to mayor. When season 6 arrives, he will add father to the list.

The latest trailer for season 6 of Arrow dives into the many facets of Oliver we’ll see this season. It opens contrasting his work as the mayor of Star City with his time as Green Arrow. From there, we see a bit more of Oliver and his son William living together. The previous trailer for the show teased the conflict between these two, and we can see in the new trailer that it hinges on Oliver’s time as a hero. One scene even shows Flash fan William with a black eye, proving things won’t be easy for him in or out of the home.

Of course, the biggest reveals in the new trailer are all of the enemies Oliver will be facing. We’ve known for awhile that Black Siren will be a particular sore spot, and we can see she’s building an army for something. She’s also going to be trading Canary Cries with Dinah on a number of different occasions. We also see more of Anatoly, who will be turning from an ally to an enemy this season. Finally, there’s a slew of new antagonists, including Richard Dragon and Deathstroke’s son.

We’ve known for awhile that Arrow will have a two-part Deathstroke episode that introduces his son Joseph Hill. In the comics, he often uses the Jericho persona, and his motives are just as complicated as his father’s. While Slade looks to be back on Oliver’s side this year, his son may be a different story.

We also get a fleeting glimpse of Kirk Acevedo (Fringe) as Richard Dragon. A newer take on the classic comics character, he’s had a number of run-ins with Green Arrow in the comics recently. He’ll be joined by another J.J. Abrams alum, Michael Emerson (Lost). The producers of the show have refused to divulge anything about Emerson’s character yet, but he puts in an appearance towards the end of the trailer.

This season will also see the return of Vigilante, who makes a few cameos in the trailer. And on the other side of the law, Sydelle Noel (GLOW) will be squaring off with Mayor Queen while hunting the Green Arrow in her capacity as an FBI agent. Things have never been easy for Oliver Queen on Arrow, but season 6 looks like it will give him more trouble than ever before.

Arrow season 6 premieres Thursday at 9pm on The CW.
