Arrow’s John Diggle, played by David Ramsay, will appear in an upcoming episode of The Flash. Diggle’s role will somehow tie into The Thinker’s plans for the nuclear-powered meta, Fallout.

In recent episodes of Arrow, Diggle has experienced a falling out with Oliver (Stephen Amell), who has been his best friend and closest confidante since season 1. After fighting over who wears the Green Arrow mantle and Diggle’s frustration with Oliver’s decision making, Diggle quit Team Arrow and decided to join his wife at A.R.G.U.S.

EW reports that in Diggle’s upcoming guest appearance on The Flash, we will see two different sides of the character. Diggle will have some kind of role to play in DeVoe’s plans for Fallout, who is currently in the custody of A.R.G.U.S. According to Ramsey, fans will get to see “Diggle come in and tear through some A.R.G.U.S. agents.” Ramsey adds that he enjoys appearing on The Flash because the series is “all light”.

With shows like The Flash, news that Ramsey’s will portray two different sides of his character could mean to fans that the series is about to debut a John Diggle doppelganger. However, considering the current storyline, a more likely scenario is that DeVoe is impersonating Diggle.

After killing Ralph Dibney and taking his body, DeVoe now has the ability to reshape his physical features into anyone he chooses. In becoming the husband of the head of A.R.G.U.S., DeVoe may be able to gain access to Fallout. Since Ramsey will play two sides of the character, it’s possible that the real Diggle will eventually appear and assist Barry (Grant Gustin) in stopping DeVoe.

DeVoe is closer than ever to accomplishing his goal. After stealing most of the bus metas’ powers, DeVoe has nearly everything he needs. The final steps of his plan involve gathering tech to build a machine, which will lead him into a battle with Gypsy (Jessica Camacho). One of the last remaining pieces needed to be gathered is Fallout, whose powers nearly destroyed Central City in “The Trial of the Flash”. In last week’s episode, Team Flash was joined by Citizen Cold in an attempt to defeat Earth-X’s Black Siren and keep DeVoe from getting his hands on Fallout. Now Fallout may be exactly where DeVoe wants him. It remains to be seen if the next phase of DeVoe’s plan will prove successful.
