The future will have a new villain in the form of John Diggle Jr., played by Charlie Barnett, in the eighth and final season of Arrow. Starring Stephen Amell in the titular role, Arrow first hit screens in 2012. Ahead of Arrow’s series finale tonight, star Stephen Amell has posted a goodbye message, saying farewell to the iconic hood. After eight seasons, the flagship Arrowverse show is coming to a close. According to Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim, the series finale will serve as an “epilogue” to Oliver Queen’s story. One can spend time writing a few essays describing the impact Arrow has left. When the show premiered in 2012, few could have predicted it would kick-start a shared TV universe of superheroes....

Avengers: Endgame has overtaken Avatar to become the highest-grossing movie of all-time at the worldwide box-office, but there’s still a chance that James Cameron’s blockbuster will beat it once again. Avengers: Endgame officially passed Avatar’s box-office total at the weekend, paying off Marvel’s decision to re-release the movie. Avengers: Endgame’s box-office total now stands at just over $2.791 billion, enough to take it past Avatar’s $2.789 billion haul, which it set in 2010 after it had a re-release of its own....

Apple Pay has gone live in the UK today with over 250,000 officially blessed locations (although Apple Pay will work at any standard NFC terminal) and seven banks. In the runup to the launch, the main holdout has been Barclays bank who instead promoted their alternative ‘bPay’ service. Now, though, they have changed their tune. Over Twitter, Barclays announced that it is actually ‘really excited’ about Apple Pay and will add support for the service to Barclaycard debit and credit cards in future....
