Atari co-founder Ted Dabney died on May 26th at the age of 81, following a diagnosis of esophageal cancer in late 2017, which, according to his friends, he opted against receiving treatment for after being told he only had eight months to live. AT&T is no stranger to capping data use and it’s now expanding those efforts to tablet devices. The carrier has started sending emails to users grandfathered into the unlimited data tablet plan, informing them that their data speeds could be throttled once they hit 22GB… In the email, AT&T explained that the move is in an effort to reduce network congestion and will officially take effect on May 24, 2017. The Bill, Social Media (Anti-Trolling) Bill 2022, was first announced by Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison in November as a mechanism that would “unmask anonymous online trolls” and address toxic content existing on social media platforms. Following Apple’s earnings results yesterday, AT&T just announced its fourth-quarter results and highlighted record smartphones sales and a record 8.6-million iPhone activations. In its results, the company said that 16 percent of iPhone activations were to new customers, while it also noted that it saw the best quarter ever for Android sales. It all added up to record sales, the most ever among any U.S. carrier, with 10.2 million units sold during the quarter....

Apple today unveiled 22 new Sport Loop bands as part of its new, limited-edition “International Collection.” They are inspired by different countries around the globe, and although Apple can’t say they’re created for the Olympics, the timing is perfect. Each band costs $49, and they’re limited editions, so it’s not clear how long Apple will continue to sell them.
