The technology is officially called Artefact Animator and has future possibilities for much more than bringing the much-wanted Flash or Silverlight to Apples mobile devices. The title “Flash in a pinch” is the name of the web portal that the application uses to transcode Flash based web content into an iOS readable format on the fly. As mentioned it’s still in development so there isn’t a lot to talk about at this point but, here’s one of their groovy proof of concept videos below....

AT&T just released a press release announcing availability of the iPhone 5. That certainly shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone, but a tid-bit within the press release certainly has grabbed our attention. AT&T has announced that it will allow those who purchased AT&T’s unlimited data plans from 2007-2010 to continue using it even when purchasing the iPhone 5 at a subsidized price. AT&T discontinued its unlimited data plan in 2010 and moved to a tiered data plan, which has since reprised and restructured, but those who originally purchased the unlimited plan were allowed to hang on to it as long as their contract remained unchanged....

With the debut of Ubisoft’s big screen video game adaptation Assassin’s Creed only a few weeks away, promotional efforts for the film have amped up. An image has finally surfaced of Auran from Marvel’s upcoming Inhumans television series. Ever since the announcement that Inhumans was making the move from a film to a TV show, we’ve been learning more and more about what the series will look like. From set photos to a trailer, we’ve had glimpses of Marvel and ABC’s interpretation of the Royal Family from the comics. And while the reception hasn’t been hugely positive, Marvel is ramping up promotion for the show ahead of its September release by offering more info and images to get fans excited....

After a long year, Arrow has wrapped its seventh and penultimate season as the Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) and his team faced Star City’s latest threat. We’ve knows for some time that this season would close out Oliver’s arc as the Green Arrow but the mystery of how it will end still remains. While the trailer doesn’t give much away, it does set the tone for an emotionally charged finale that will explore the legacy Oliver’s Green Arrow has left behind....

Behind-the-scenes photos from the filming of the Earth-X crossover event confirm that Reverse Flash is back. The Flash fans are loving the return of the fastest man alive, and they’re looking forward to the big event of the Arrowverse this season: a massive Earth-X crossover event that will bring together Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl in a four hour special over two nights. The crossover event is set to air next month, and has been filming this week, leading to some interesting set photos making headlines, including one of Nazi Supergirl (or Overgirl) herself....

A new patent awarded to Apple today suggests that the company’s audio plans for future iPhones may go beyond reportedly ditching the 3.5mm headphone socket in favor of Lightning and Bluetooth. The patent is very densely-worded, but seemingly describes a method of getting higher-quality and higher-volume audio from speakers built into slimmer devices. Apple’s statement of the problem is clear enough. The language describing Apple’s proposed solution is less clear, but from a combination of this and the accompanying diagrams, I at least have a working theory of what is being suggested …...

When it comes to the TV side of the DC Multiverse, Arrow’s Stephen Amell has (lately) seemed to get the short-shrift in terms of publicity and critical appreciation. But while his character’s titular series may not have Supergirl’s topical bonafides or Flash’s universe-expanding inventiveness, what Arrow does have is Amell himself: a preternaturally gifted charmer who’s expanded his own brand by becoming a charismatic press favorite and even nudging his way into a WWE professional-wrestling storyline....
